“Seminar for Ukrainians Working with Military Personnel, Veterans, Their Families, and Community Organizations” is now available on YouTube.

On October 8–9, 2024, The Veteran Mental Health Center Of Excellence at the Institute of Psychiatry and the Federation Global Initiative on Psychiatry (FGIP) held a seminar and networking event for those working with military personnel, veterans, their families, and organizations involved in their rehabilitation.
The seminar featured world-class speakers with extensive experience:
– Rachel Thibault (Canada) – An occupational therapist, Ph.D. in psychology, and professor with nearly 30 years of experience. She is an expert in psychological resilience and crisis intervention, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and a recipient of numerous awards.
– Marie-Claude Misho (Canada) – A leader with 20 years of experience in the Canadian Armed Forces. Author of the book Leadership Without Armor, she developed the philosophy of Leadership Bienveillant, which places people first.
– General Romeo Daller (Canada) – A Canadian senator, writer, and retired general. During 1993–1994, he commanded a UN peacekeeping contingent in Rwanda, where he witnessed genocide and did everything possible to save innocent lives. He is one of the first high-ranking military officials to openly share his experience with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and is the founder of a foundation dedicated to combating the use of children in armed conflicts.
