Seminar “How to Act in Cases of Active Suicidal Behavior: A Guide for Psychologists”

On February 17, 2025, our Center’s psychologist, Svitlana Kaminska, conducted a practical session for psychology students dedicated to managing situations of active suicidal behavior.

Participants had the opportunity to analyze real-life cases, hone their crisis intervention skills, and learn how to provide initial psychological support to individuals experiencing an acute suicidal crisis.

According to the WHO, over 700,000 people die by suicide every year worldwide—and that’s just the official figure. Each of us might encounter someone in crisis, making it essential to know the proper course of action.

Organizing such training sessions is a step toward reducing suicide rates and fostering a community of professionals capable of recognizing risks promptly and saving lives. We thank all the participants for their engagement and interest in this vital cause.
