Staff members of the Veteran Mental Health Center of Excellence took part in the Forum “Evidence-Based Psychological Practices in Contemporary Ukraine.”

On September 25–26, 2025, the Forum was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, bringing together researchers and practitioners in psychology who presented modern approaches to supporting mental health in today’s context.
Within the roundtable session dedicated to veterans and their families, representatives of the Center presented their reports.
- Svitlana Kaminska, practical psychologist, PhD in Psychology, and researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, spoke on “Specifics of Implementing the Self-Help Plus (Sh+) Intervention in Supporting the Mental Health of Veterans and Their Families.”
- Oleksii Kovalevskyi, Master’s student at the Faculty of Psychology, veteran, and lead specialist at the Institute of Psychiatry, delivered a presentation on “Evidence-Based Practices of Psychological Support for Veterans: International Experience, Ukrainian Approaches, and Personal Contribution.”
The participation of the Center’s staff in the Forum highlights the importance of integrating evidence-based psychological practices into work with veterans and their families and contributes to strengthening the scientific and practical potential of the university community.
