On December 23, a festive workshop took place in the children’s space of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with the participation of staff members of the The Veteran Mental Health Center Of Excellence of the Institute of Psychiatry — Svitlana Valeriivna Kaminska and Maryna Valeriivna Humenna.
The event was organized to introduce participants to Ukrainian Christmas traditions, their historical origins, and their cultural and symbolic significance. During the workshop, participants learned about the traditions of Christmas caroling, their spiritual and educational meaning, as well as the specifics of preserving folk customs in modern society.
The practical part of the event included learning and performing the traditional Ukrainian Christmas carol “Dobryi vechir tobi, pane hospodariu” (“Good evening to you, master of the house”), which helped create a festive atmosphere, enhance cultural awareness, and strengthen unity among the participants.
